Crane Heat Systems was founded by Harry and Sophie with a simple vision: to build a family-run company that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering, while delivering the kind of service and customer experience we would expect in our own home.
Built on an Engineering Background
Engineering has always been part of Harry’s life. Growing up in a family of engineers, toolmakers and plumbers gave him an early appreciation for problem-solving, precision and doing a job properly.

After starting his career as a qualified mechanic, Harry developed strong diagnostic skills and an understanding of how complex systems work together. He later joined the family plumbing and heating business, gaining years of hands-on experience alongside his father.

Since then, Harry has continued to build on his knowledge through industry training, qualifications and practical experience, becoming a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer.

Wanting to broaden his experience and learn more about modern heating technologies, Harry spent a year living and working in North Zealand, Denmark.
Â
During this time, he gained hands-on experience with air source heat pumps and renewable heating technologies, while also being introduced to a different approach to home comfort and engineering.

The focus on efficient, well-designed systems and looking at the bigger picture continues to influence the way we work at Crane Heat Systems today.

Crane Heat Systems is Gas Safe and OFTEC registered, with qualifications and training covering plumbing and heating, heat pumps, renewable technologies and low-temperature heating systems. Our qualifications and experience allow us to understand the bigger picture, diagnose problems properly and recommend the right solution for each home.

We also carry comprehensive public liability insurance and continue to develop our knowledge as heating technology evolves.Â
